Who we Are

Founder James (Jimmy) Murphy owns and manages California Produce. Our family wanted to help Non Profit Food Banks succeed in providing fresh, wholesome produce to individuals in need of wholesome food.

We tried donating but kept getting turned down by food banks. We realized that food banks struggle with logistics, as most would decline donations because of limited resources, no access to heavy equipment to load, limited to no storage facilites, not to mention manpower; we realized we have all those resources, why not use them to serve a greater good.

We decided to harness our experience in managing our produce market to help others; that is why we started Murphy’s Produce with Purpose.
